A different way to visit Carnac

If you’re looking for a classic “facts-only” guided tour, you’ll find plenty of information elsewhere. This experience is different: we slow down, walk with attention, and let the place speak — with clear context when it matters.

Presence first

Time is part of the craft: pauses, observation, silence when useful. You leave with something felt — not just “learned”.

Small group or private

Small groups (6–8) to keep it intimate, or private (1–4) for a more tailored pace and focus.

Mystery stays alive

Carnac raises big questions. Here: no forced story, no “one true answer” — just solid landmarks and simple, honest questions on site.

Carnac & “Greater Carnac”

Depending on the format and conditions, we may open the walk toward nearby megalithic sites (Erdeven, Locmariaquer…), within the wider UNESCO World Heritage megalithic area.

How it works

A guided walk at the pace of the place and the group: less nonstop talking, more time to look, breathe, and understand on site.

  1. Meet-up at the agreed spot (Carnac / nearby). A short welcome + grounding to arrive.
  2. Slow walk: observation, pauses, and conversation at the right moments (not constant commentary).
  3. Immersion: essential context, a sensitive way of reading the landscape, and open questions (no over-interpretation).
  4. Closing: a simple wrap-up + what to explore next in the wider Carnac megalithic area.

Erdeven (Kerzerho): living landscape and stone. A quiet, attentive walk that changes what you notice.

Why Carnac still raises questions

Alignments, menhirs, dolmens, cairns, tumuli: their placement and orientation keep inviting questions — without ever collapsing into certainty. This walk approaches it through direct experience, with clear landmarks and time to perceive.

The goal isn’t to add yet another “explanation”. It’s to step out of constant commentary and return to observation. In a chambered cairn, or facing rows of standing stones, something shifts: time feels different, space opens or tightens, and what seemed familiar becomes less obvious. That’s often where the visit turns into a real encounter.

Julien — a calm human presence to guide the experience

I’m Julien. I guide these walks with practical knowledge of access, timing, and the rhythm of each site. My role is to hold a clear frame so the visit doesn’t stay a “solo walk with Google” — but a real experience.

I don’t deliver a fixed script. I work with what happens on site: observation, questions, moments of silence, and the right context at the right time. If you’re open to it, the Premium format can include a more subtle “felt” approach — always simple, never imposed.

FAQ

Quick answers before you book.

Is this a “historical tour” with constant commentary?

Not really. You’ll get the key context you need, but the priority is presence: slower pace, pauses, and time to actually experience the site.

Is the walk suitable if English isn’t my first language?

Yes. I speak fluent English (with a French accent). I keep explanations clear, paced, and easy to follow.

Where do we meet? Do we go inside restricted areas?

The meeting point depends on the chosen walk and conditions. It’s shared after the deposit is received. We respect access rules and private properties.

What should I bring?

Comfortable shoes, a light jacket (Brittany changes fast), and water. The walk is accessible to anyone who can walk calmly outdoors.

Can we make it more “spiritual”?

If you want to, the Premium format can include a more subtle, felt approach (silence, attention, simple practices). Nothing is imposed — it stays grounded and respectful.

How do booking & deposit work?

A 30% deposit confirms your spot. The balance is paid at the start of the walk. For group dates: book before 6:00 pm the day before.
